CARLA DAZET, Infrastructure Partner
Carla Dazet joins SP as an Infrastructure Partner and Senior Advisor in the southeast region. In this role, Ms. Dazet identifies critical infrastructure challenges and assembles SP resources to create integrated solutions for state and local clients.
Ms. Dazet most recently served as Deputy Director of Public Works Administration for Jackson, MS leading the planning development and implementation of a $48 million dollar remediation and recovery plan for the city’s water sewer business office. She took a holistic approach to include a new AMI infrastructure, assets, a billing software upgrade and a strategy to improve human capital. She also provided policy and legislative strategies which allowed the City to deploy a program aimed at improving revenue recovery and financial assistance for the citizens of Jackson. Improving the quality of life for the communities that she serves is her passion and what drives her success.
Previously Ms. Dazet was with Waggoner Engineering, Inc. responsible for providing support to clients as they develop and initiate legislative strategies at the state and federal government levels, including policy analysis and funding strategies. She also provided business development support and led the marketing department, with special emphasis on project procurement, economic and community development initiatives.
Carla Dazet brings to SP finely-tuned skills in business-to-business sales, community relations, marketing, business development, as well as experience in the political realm with serving Senator Lott in the US Senate in both Washington DC and in Pascagoula Carla holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications, Marketing and Studio Art from the University of South Alabama.
