SP Investing $100s of Millions in Louisiana Infrastructure

To serve communities and positively impact generations to come

Advancing Louisiana’s Infrastructure

Louisiana’s communities, abundant in beauty and culture, now benefit from modern best-in-class infrastructure through SP’s monthly utility-like service.

Public and private entities including Louisiana parishes, municipalities, towns, villages, schools, universities, port and others have formed trusted partnerships with Sustainability Partners (SP) to advance their essential infrastructure.

Through Infrastructure as a Service®, SP converts infrastructure into a monthly service that is reliable, safe, and efficient in a manner that protects the institutions, assets, and taxpayers.

SP is a Public Benefit Company offering a usage-based model that requires zero upfront capital. We assume ownership responsibilities of essential infrastructure without interfering with use.

We can bridge a funding gap, providing a required match to state or federal funds, or pay 100% for the design, engineering, materials, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and long-term upgrades.

Water Meters - Old to New

SP’s Clean & Wastewater Solutions

Comprehensive Advanced Metering Infrastructure

Lake Charles, Louisiana

The citywide water metering infrastructure had been in operation for 30+ years and was long overdue for replacement. The vulnerabilities of the system became painfully evident after Hurricane Laura made landfall in August 2020 and devastated the area, prompting the City to seek options to replace over 35,000 commercial and residential meters of varying sizes and types. Although the City qualified for federal funding it was not enough to cover the significant cost of a modern and efficient solution.

Combining federal funding with SP’s service, Lake Charles has significantly decreased operational expenses and increased monthly water revenue with this sustainable turnkey solution.

SP’s Turf & Lighting Solutions

Scott, Louisiana

Project Scope: The City of Scott had a strategic growth plan to improve the community with sustainable infrastructure that would also increase tourism plus offer a modern and beautiful venue for youth sports, tournaments, and community events. Impact: In just seven months after signing with SP, the City was delighted to host its first 60+ team baseball tournament bringing thousands of visitors to enjoy the beautiful city of Scott, Louisiana. The City has realized incredible increase in sales revenue as new visitors continue to frequent the City’s restaurants, hotels, and venues. The ribbon cutting event was a fantastic celebration and just the start to many wonderful new initiatives for the community. Only months after the ribbon cutting, the City began the process to acquire additional nearby land to increase parking capacity and add more facilities.

BREC partnered with SP to facilitate the funding, installation, and maintenance of its beautiful new athletic fields, lighting and other assets. All this was accomplished without debt or new taxes, and reduced operating expenses while generating significant economic stimulus as a sought-after destination for residents and sports tournaments.

Crowley, Louisiana

Project Scope: 9 fields – infield and outfield – including historical Miller Stadium & more

Impact: The City experienced immediate cash flow generation which significantly improved the entire local economy due to increased tourism and the growing number of facility events scheduled.
