Michael Du Pont serves as an Infrastructure Specialist in Hawai’i. Born and raised on Maui, Mr. Du Pont brings to the team deep expertise and real world understanding of how to successfully implement meaningful transportation initiatives.

Previously serving the County of Maui’s Department of Transportation as Deputy Director, Mr. Du Pont’s team was instrumental in bringing the very first hybrid transit buses to the County of Maui’s Bus Program. In 2019, he also worked with BYD to launch a successful pilot to bring the first electric transit bus to the Maui bus fleet.

Committed to offering opportunities for those in need, Mr. Du Pont worked with the Maui Police Department to create the Mobile Medical Educational Unit (“MMEU”) to assist local members of the community experiencing homelessness to meet court dates and also benefit from Maui’s Drug Court program.

A dedicated husband and father to three wonderful children, he also prioritizes active community service. Mr. Du Pont is certified with Maui Police Department’s Crisis Intervention Team, volunteers for Makawao schools, is Chair of the Makawao Parade Committee, and enjoys planning monthly gatherings to benefit the community.
